How is potential abuse being avoided?

In order to block posts, the decision of more than one moderator is needed. Once a certain amount of moderators decided on a reported post, our algorithms resolve it. A moderator's own reported post will not be moderated by themselves.

If a moderator themself does not follow our Guidelines, decisions can get "muted". The moderator then can still moderate, but decisions will not be taken into account. Should the decisions align with our Guidelines again, the mute will be lifted - otherwise, the moderator will be removed from moderation permanently.
