How do I transfer my account?

For all of us, there comes a time in our life where we have to switch devices. If this day has come, don't forget to take Jodel with you!

Transferring your account cross-OS

In order to transfer your account from one OS to another, please contact our Support with your new account and add:

  • a share-link to one of your old posts,

  • the amount of Karma on your old device,

  • the stated gender, year of birth and occupation

so that we can verify the ownership of the account that should be transferred.


Transferring your account on Android

In order to transfer your account, you must have previously signed up with a Google account - if not, please do not use the in-app sync process but send us a Support request!

Please follow these instructions if you want to transfer from Android to Android:

  1. Open your account-page by tapping Me

  2. Go to More by tapping on the menu item

  3. Tap on Sync my account to activate sync


Transferring your account on iOS

Please follow these instructions if you want to transfer from iPhone to iPhone:

  2. Go to More by tapping on the cog-icon

  3. Tap on Sync my account! to activate sync
