During the registration process we ask you to give us access to some of your phone’s technical credentials. This allows us to create an account for you with a unique user number linked to your device. You need this user number so you can access your Jodel posts, replies, etc.
We ask for this information one time to be able to create your account. After this point the account is created and we no longer need to access your phone’s technical credentials anymore.
We do not need your phone number or email contact to create your account or for you to use the app. The device credentials that we access one time do not allow us to tie them back to your account (and by the way also have no interest in doing so). You can remove the permission in your phone settings once your Jodel account is created!
For us this is the perfect mixture between privacy and convenience. It also helps the universe to know where to send those sweet karma points for all those magnificent Jodels you are posting 😉
